Ola Sircy, Jr. Mr. Ola Sircy, Jr., 78, of Madison, FL, passed away peacefully at his home on November 30, 2021 following an extended bout with cancer. Ola was born February 28, 1943 in Madison, Florida to Ola Sircy, Sr. and Gladys Bishop Sircy. He was a graduate of Madison County High School. Soon after High School he enlisted into the U.S. Army. Following his enlistment, he joined the Army Reserves where he served 26 years. Ola was of the Methodist Faith and a member of Lee United Methodist Church. He was Chief of Police in Madison for 12 years, then worked as a Lineman for Tri-County Electric before retiring in 2005. Ola was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who attended and supported his children and grandchildren in all their life events. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and camping. He was a member of Madison Masonic Lodge #11 and the Madison Shrine Club. Ola was preceded in death by: his parents, Ola Sircy Sr. and Gladys Sircy and his brother Curtis Sircy. He is survived by: his wife of 56 years, Annette Sircy; his son, William Sircy, and wife Carol; his daughter, Tonia Briggs, and husband Andy, all of Madison; two sisters Mary Anne Sircy and Betty Jo Sircy; 5 grandchildren, Justin Briggs, Jarrett Briggs, Will Sircy, Grayson Sircy and Anna Kate Sircy; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Funeral Services will be Friday, 11:00 AM, December 3, 2021 at Lee United Methodist Church, Lee, Florida, with interment at Stonewall Cemetery, Lee, FL. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the service from 9:00 – 11:00 AM at the church. Beggs Funeral Home is handling the arrangements 850-973-2258.
