Mrs Nancy Kellum McGriff

November 18, 1936 - April 17, 2022

Mrs. Nancy Kellum McGriff peacefully departed this life on April 17, 2022, in Madison, FL at the age of 85. She was born on November 18, 1936, in Honolulu, Hawaii to Harry Kellum and Lois Pickles Kellum but was raised by Roy and Lois Kellum Wainright. She was a faithful member of the Madison First Baptist Church and had perfect Sunday School attendance for over 40 years. She wore many hats on different committees at the Church. She may not have inherited the cooking genes from her mother, but she was famous for her candy baskets that were delivered to the sick. She was a 1954 graduate from Madison High School, where she was a majorette, cheerleader, and a member of the basketball team. Upon graduation she attended business school, and later was employed with the State of Florida for 30 years. In her free time, she spent many days clogging with the Madison County Cloggers Exhibition Team. She is survived by three children: Cindy Beasley (Robby) of Virginia Beach, VA, Kel Putnal of Madison, FL and Davis “Bubba” McGriff (Dondi) of Tifton, GA; one sister, Ann Croasdell of Winter Park, FL and one brother, Don Kellum (Martha) of Sumpter, SC; 5 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be Wednesday April 20, 2022, at 11:00 am at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Madison, Florida, with visitation at 10:00 am at Beggs Funeral Home - Madison Chapel (850) 973-2258. Aaron Hale will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the First Baptist Church 1898 Sanctuary Fund.
