Montine Bennett

Mrs. Montine Bennett, age 80, died Wednesday evening October 23rd, 2013 at Madison Memorial Hospital. Montine was born in Lee, Florida to William Berry Ezell and Candace Missouri Ezell and graduated from Madison High School and Charity Hospital Nursing School in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was married to the late Wallace Francis "Frank" Bennett for 41 years. Montine, alongside her husband Frank, dedicated their lives to ministering hope, healing and the salvation of Jesus to the lost and needy. They served together in various Baptist pastorates in south Louisiana and north Florida for 14 years and later as foreign missionaries for over 40 years. They founded Esperanza Missions in northern Mexico where their missionary work included medial missions, evangelism and church planting. Montine is survived by her four children and their spouses, nine Grandchildren and five Great Grandchildren. Her children and their spouses are: Joan Bennett, Barbara & Lance Marvel of Cartersville, Georgia, Wallace & Christine Bennett of Mansfield, Texas and Mark & Vickee Bennett of La Nogalera, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Her 9 Grandchildren are: Molly, Nathaniel, Claire, Katie Gayle, Austin, Mark, Benjamin, Joshua and Candace. Her 5 Great Grandchildren are: Jacob, Charlotte, Trinity, Violet and one on the way! Montine is also survived by her sisters and their spouses: Francis and the late R.B. Keyes, Juanita & Stanley Baxley, Patricia & Auley Rowell. She is also survived by her brothers and their spouses: Ronnie & Carole Ezell and Shelby & Betty Ezell. Also pre-deceasing Montine is her brother Charles Ezell and her sister and spouse Ernestine & Simon Kinsey. Visitation is scheduled at Beggs Funeral Home Friday, Nov. 1st from 4-6 p.m. and the funeral will be held at Lee First Baptist Church on Saturday, Nov 2nd at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Esperanza Missions, Lot 15, Box 16, 2525 W.
