Madison: Mary Ethel Tyson Hammock, age 89, died Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Fellowship Home in Valdosta. Funeral service will be Thursday, 4:00 PM at Madison Church of God, Madison, Florida with burial at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service from 3:00 "" 4:00 PM at the church. She was born in Moultrie, Georgia and moved to Madison in 1944. She had worked for Madison County School Board, and was a member of Madison Church of God. She is survived by 3 sons: Larry Joe Hammock (Lynda) of Pinetta, Randy Hammock (Amy) of Waukeenah, and Wendell Hammock (Libby) of Pinetta; 2 daughters: Norma Hartlaub (Leo) of Tallahassee and Sarah Giddens (Allen) of Gainesville; 2 sisters: Betty Weisenbaker of Valdosta and Vera Bentley of Dasher; 7 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren.
