Lois Virginia Mathis Webb

Lois Virginia Mathis Webb passed away Saturday, April 23, 2016, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was a lifelong resident of Madison County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dalton Lewis Webb, her parents, John Henry Mathis and Bessie Mae Mathis, sister Ann Wilkins, and brothers Buddy Mathis and Ronnie Mathis. She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Rutherford (Gene), her son, Daryl Webb (Karen), her grandchildren, Lucas Rutherford (Ashley), Allyce Havard (Daniel), Ashley Rutherford ( Bill Gibson), Darcy Webb, Audrey Webb and great-grandchild Addison Rutherford. Survivors also include siblings Irene Foxx, Marie O'Barr, Bonnie Webb and Richard Mathis, one sister-in-law, Hazel Phillips, and a very large extended family. Lois enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, raising her chickens, reading, but most of all spending time with her family. Funeral services were Monday, April 25, 2015 at 11;00 AM at Midway Baptist Church in Lee, Florida. Visitation was 1 hour prior to the service at the church. The family wishes to thank the community and friends for the comfort, companionship, and food provided during her illness and passing.
