Joe Mack O’Neal 6/21/1936 - 6/25/2022 Joe Mack O’Neal of Greenville, Florida, passed away from the community of Boggy Bay on Saturday, June 25th, 2022. He was born in the community June 21, 1936, to parents Gilbert Burton O’Neal and Olive Lucile Fletcher. Joe, or Joe Mack, graduated from Greenville High School in 1954. He served in the US Air Force, at Bergstrom AFB, Austin, Texas, where he married Doris Swofford. Next, Joe attended the University of Florida in Gainesville and earned a bachelor’s degree in agriculture. With this, he began a career as a sales representative and zone manager with the Ford Tractor Company, that remained his principal occupation until retirement. Joe Mack returned to Boggy Bay for retirement, where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and farming activities. He participated in community churches and taught Sunday school at times. Joe is survived by his wife: Dorothy of Clearwater, Florida, brother: Allen of Atlanta, Georgia, daughter: Vicki (Alan) Wright of Commerce, Missouri, son: Bert (Claudia) of Seminole, Florida, three grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 2, 2022 at Beggs Funeral Home, Madison, Chapel with burial at Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery, Cherry Lake, Florida. Visitation will be Friday from 4:30 PM - 7:00 PM at Beggs Funeral Home. Beggs Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements: 850-973-2258.
