Doyle Lee Everett

Doyle Lee Everett passed away December 20, 2021, at his home in Madison, Florida. He was born to Acie Washington Everett and Minnie Rhodes Everett on September 5, 1944, in Panama City. Mr. Everett served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War where he was a rifle coach. He spent his life in public service as a law enforcement officer. Mr. Everett retired from the Tampa Police Department, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, and the Madison County Sheriff’s Office. He also served as the Chief of Police in Cottondale, Florida during the mid 1970’s. Doyle was an avid outdoorsman; he loved hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was also an expert marksman. Mr. Everett leaves behind his wife of 59 years, Betty Hodges Everett; his daughter, Paula Arnold (Bobby); and his son, Clint Everett (Annette). He had 4 grandchildren: Kris Arnold (Suzana), Casey Arnold, Bryson Wilkes, and Brittany Wilkes, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and his brothers and sisters in law enforcement. He was preceded in death by both of his parents, his sister Betty Fudge, and his brother Tom Everett. Funeral Services will be Monday, December 27, 2021 12:00 Noon at Friendship Cemetery, Shady Grove, Florida.
