Mrs Betty Lou Hendry

Betty Lou Hendry, 92 years old transitioned to Heaven November 13, 2020. She joined her husband, Herschel; her parents, Elmer and Lucille Crouch as well as her sisters, Marie Williams(Orville) and Beverly Beckett(Gardner/Howard )and a grandson, Tanner Hendry in a great reunion. She is survived by her three children, Joan Sessions-Rawlins; Griff and Faye (Brown) Hendry; Todd Hendry. She has 6 living grandchildren, Chad, Christopher, Samantha, Kevin, Kane and Misty. She has 16 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grands. She has a host of nieces and nephews that she loved like her own children. She was raised in the Presbyterian Church in Perry, Florida beginning at the age of 4. Church life was her favorite time of life according to her. She played the piano, sang, taught Sunday School as well as Vacation Bible School and assisted in the Youth Programs over the years. She saw that her children were part of church life as well. As a homemaker her entire life, she provided a loving, cozy, fun, life for her family and their friends. She was known as a “southern belle”, serving any and all who came through her door. She was also known for her chocolate fudge and sweet tea. She lived for basketball season and the Lakers, even in the later months. There will be a visitation service at 3:30pm on Sunday, November 15th in the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel in Perry, Florida, which was the original First Presbyterian Church, the church she and subsequently her children were raised in. Her Homegoing Celebration will be held at 4:00pm followed by interment at Pisgah Cemetery located in Perry, Florida. Pallbearers will be: Chad Agner; Christopher Sessions; Kane Hendry; Kevin Woodall; Ben Davis and Shane Carter.
