Mrs. Patty Marilyn Fourakres

Pinetta: Mrs. Patty Marilyn Crafton Fourakres, aged 88, left this world to be with Jesus on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at the Good Samaritan Center in Dowling Park, Florida. Visitation will be held at Beggs Funeral Home in Madison Florida on Friday, June 14, 2024 at 6pm. Funeral Services will be held at Pinetta Baptist Church on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 10 am with Graveside Services following at Mt. Horeb Cemetery. Born in Pinetta, Fl, Patty was a lifelong resident of the area, a beloved daughter, a treasured helpmeet, a cherished mother, a greatly revered grandmother (and great grandmother) and the definition of a true community leader. Patty had a passion for people and dedicated her life to her family, her friends, and her community. In her early marriage and motherhood she worked alongside her father, Robert L. Crafton and her husband Bill Fourakres to grow crops on the family farm, cooking lunch for the farmhands (comprised of her children and their friends) and creating a safe and enjoyable space for both work and play. Later in life, Patty became the family's first college graduate by attaining a Associate's Degree from North Florida Junior College and a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Valdosta State College, which naturally led to her continued community service as an employee at the Senior Citizens Center, the Dept of Health and Rehabilitative Services (HRS), Apalachee Mental Health and an active volunteer at the local branch of The ARC. Patty was renowned for her singing voice and used that instrument to spread the message of Jesus's love through song. She was a member of the Sammy Reaves Singers for many years and shared her love of music with her entire family. A devout Christian and member of Pinetta First Baptist, Patty loved the Lord and was a faithful disciple. Patty devoted her life to the service of her family and cherished the time she spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren above all else. She will be dearly missed and her legacy will live on through her family and her lifelong example of motherhood, partnership and service to the Lord. She is survived by her daughter: Elizabeth Fourakres Hollingsworth (Richard); Son-in-Law, Richard Kelley (Shirley) both of Pinetta; her Grandchildren: Jessica Fourakres Murfin (Tim); Scott Kelley; Dustin Bell; Adam Fourakres (Erin Maher); Ashley Bell; and Eric Vick (Kelly); ten Great-Grandchildren (Liam, Ryker, Frankie, Joseph, Thunder, Milo, Jolene, Dali, Brooks and Wyatt) and a host of extended family. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert L. Crafton; her mother, Shirley Reaves Crafton; her siblings: Harry Crafton, Helen Crafton, Bobby Crafton, Jean Crafton, Marion Crafton, Jimmie Lee; her husband William "Bill" Fourakres; her daughter Shirley Fourakres Kelley; and her son William Robert Fourakres.
