Mrs. Marion Littleton Anderson

Mrs. Marion Littleton Anderson, 96, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, in Madison, Florida. Marion was born on July 28, 1926, in Madison, Florida, to William Cutler Littleton and Ruby Davenport Littleton. She attended and graduated from Pinetta High School. After high school graduation, Marion attended Spartanburg Junior College where she was crowned the very first May Queen. Then she attended Lander College, where she earned her degree in Home Economics. On June 27, 1948, Marion married her husband, John K. Anderson, Sr. They were blessed to have 50 wonderful years together. Marion was a faithful, lifelong member of Hanson Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and she could always be found working in her yard and tending to her flowers. She is survived by her five children: John K. Anderson, Jr. and wife Mary Ann of Lee, Florida; Brenda Williamson and husband Wayne of Madison, Florida; Janice Richardson and husband Leroy of Lee, Florida; Sandra Stone and husband Ron of Madison, Florida; and Lloyd Anderson and wife Melissia of Fines Creek, North Carolina. She is also survived by her sister, Judy Littleton of Gainesville, Florida, brother, Richard “Gene” (Nadine) Littleton of Umatilla, Florida, and sister-in-law, Carolynn Littleton of Bokeelia, Florida. She was very proud of her 12 grandchildren: Heather (Luke) Bates, Nikki (Kyle) Hunter, Brent (Brooke) Williamson, Cutler Richardson, Christy (Kyle) Wilson, Cliff (Heather) Richardson, John Stone, Josh (Kathy) Stone, Jennifer Stone, Allyson, Maddison, and Oak Anderson. She adored her great-grandchildren, Bailey, Lola, Abby, Sidney, Jacob, Haley, Nate, Brantson, Baby boy Williamson (due August 2023), Wade, Cora, Paige, Walt, Wes, Ryan, and Rylynn. Marion is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and family friends. Marion was preceded in death by her devoted husband, parents, and siblings, Ina Webb Moore, Florence Newberry, Billy Littleton, and Henry Littleton. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 6, 2023 at Hanson Methodist Church in Hanson, Florida with Rev. Hal Burke and Rev. Michael Halley officiating. Interment will follow in Hanson Methodist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Sunday, March 5, 2023 at Beggs Funeral Home of Madison, Florida. Flowers or plants may be given in memory of Marion and her love for nature. Any donations may be made to Hanson Methodist Church.
